Join us for camping at El Chorro Regional Park and Campground Thursday, Oct 16^th-Sunday Oct 19^th.  El Chorro is located between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay.  We’ve booked five full service sites which have full hook-up with electricity, sewer and water. Each site can accommodate an R.V. and a tent, or a couple of tents, approximately 6-8 people. The maximum trailer length at some of the sites is 40 feet.  Campground includes flush toilets and pay showers. The park is located here: El Chorro Regional Park Location.

For those who don’t want to camp but would like to participate in the weekend, there’s plenty of hotel options in San Luis Obispo.  We suggest the Embassy Suites in the Madonna Rd shopping center, located here: Embassy Suites Location

El Chorro Regional Park features volleyball courts, two off-leash dog parks, horseshoe pits, the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden, softball fields and various hiking trails.  It is adjacent to the Dairy Creek golf course, so you may want to bring your clubs!

Tentative itinerary.  These are just suggestions so you can get an idea of possible activities.

• Thurs night – SLO Higuera St. farmer’s market 6-9pm.  Enjoy five blocks of over 100 vendors offering fresh produce, famous BBQ, delicious meals, crafts, baked goods, entertainment, and MORE! https://downtownslo.com/farmers-market
• Friday –
  • Morning: Hike/walk Montana de Oro bluff trails https://roadtrippingcalifornia.com/bluff-trail-montana-de-oro/
  • Afternoon: Wine tasting Edna Valley
• Saturday
  • Morning: Cal Poly architectural garden, Cal Poly dairy tour (award winning cheese), SLO Mission, SLO museum of art
  • Afternoon: Morro Bay lunch, shopping, kayak, bike rental or Visit Avila Beach, walk the pier, lunch, hot springs
  • Evening – Campfire, group dinner at the campground
• Sunday – Botanical garden,  El Chorro hike,  or Morro Bay
• Anytime: Golf at Dairy Creek golf course.  A nine hole, par 36 features terrific views and interacting with some local wildlife (think turkeys).  Dairy Creek includes a Swing Time powered by Toptracer simulator, full service grass driving range, practice greens, chipping and bunker greens. The Cal Poly Golf Teams practice at Dairy Creek at the Tom Lehman Learning Center which is also open to the public. https://dairycreekslo.com/

Cost. $220 which includes Camp Site and one (1) Saturday Night Dinner. Additional Dinners are $25/each.

For those staying at a hotel, cost is $25 for the very yummy Saturday Night Dinner.
